There’s a new player in town and it won’t be a secret for much longer. It’s a modern tiki bar and they have taken inspiration through the earthy elements into their design, layout and drinks. It is not your typical “tropical” themed bar as it pays attention to details into creating a unique experience for guests. You are welcomed by hospitable staff that are friendly and inviting. They take their time to explain their process and drinks menu.
They pride themselves in their unique cocktails and their menu is an absolute delight. You are given a booklet that houses their specialities of drinks that are laid out in a clock formation. They are designed with time in mind with traditional cocktails that morph from “the past” to “the future” of drinks. A traditional mai tai would be transformed to a new cocktail as they change the elements of the drink itself.
Keeping it modern and fresh, the menu includes a little questionnaire that helps you pick out your drink. These fun little excerpts makes Here and Now a delight to visit. Personally, the cocktail that I would be returning for is Now & Forever and a close second is the Yellow Submarine. Moreover, they have eight of their in-house cocktails by tap. Currently, they have sharing snack plates and their menu will be expanding soon.
Look no further if you want to impress your date with a new bar. They have live DJ sets happening on the weekends and with its seductive lighting and warm tones your date will have a memorable evening. It is also the perfect place for a girls’ night out for those late night catch ups filled with giggles, goss and delicious cocktails.
Here and Now is located at The Five Damansara, a new dining hub.
